Spend a full day exploring the many fishing opportunities found in and around Richmond. This single-day Adventure Fishing camp introduces campers to freshwater fishing by visiting a variety of area waters such as ponds, lakes, streams, and rivers—giving them a well-rounded and engaging fishing experience.
Campers will learn essential angling skills, including casting, knot-tying, bait and lure selection, fish identification, and safe fish handling. Instructors emphasize water safety, conservation, and responsible catch-and-release practices while helping campers build confidence with rod and reel in different environments.
Each water type offers something unique, and campers will learn how fish relate to structure, depth, and cover in different settings. Whether fishing from the bank, wading shallow water, or casting from designated access points, campers gain practical skills they can use wherever they fish in the future.
This camp is beginner-friendly and ideal for campers who are curious about fishing or want to expand their skills without committing to a full week. Expect a full day of learning, exploration, and the excitement of discovering new waters and new fish.
