Beginner to intermediate. No experience necessary.
Boys & Girls Ages 9-14
Our fly fishing camp is designed to turn new anglers into self-sufficient fly fisherman. Throughout the week campers will gain plenty of on-the-water experience where they will learn the basics of fly fishing including setting up their rod, knot tying, casting techniques, and fighting & landing a fish on the fly. Each day we will move to a different body of water starting on ponds to target sunfish & large mouth bass and work towards fishing small mouth in one of our local rivers. One day we will start in the classroom to learn about fly tying where campers will get the opportunity to tie their own fly and try to catch a fish with something of their own creation!
This is a great place to start learning the basics if you have an interest in our Overnight Fly Fishing Camps in Southwest Virginia and Yellowstone!
All equipment provided and no experience necessary!
