Spend an action-packed day mountain biking through some of the Richmond region’s premier trail systems—the James River Park System or Pocahontas State Park. This single-day Adventure Riders camp is designed for confident young riders who are ready to take their skills beyond the basics and experience real trail riding in a supportive, coached environment.
Campers will ride a variety of trails featuring climbs, descents, rocks, roots, and flowing singletrack while developing essential mountain biking skills such as body position, braking, shifting, cornering, and trail awareness. Our experienced instructors focus on building confidence, control, and safe decision-making, encouraging campers to challenge themselves at their own pace.
The James River Park System offers a uniquely urban adventure with technical terrain, river views, and rugged singletrack woven through the heart of Richmond. When conditions and logistics allow, campers will ride at Pocahontas State Park, known for its purpose-built trail network with smooth flow, longer climbs, and fast, fun descents. These trail systems provide a well-rounded riding experience that exposes campers to different trail styles and riding challenges.
Between rides, campers will enjoy time off the bike to rest, refuel, and cool off while connecting with fellow riders who share a love for biking and the outdoors. This one-day camp is ideal for riders who already have some off-pavement experience and want a taste of what a full week of Adventure Riders is all about.
Expect a full day of trail riding, skill-building, and outdoor adventure in some of the best riding terrain Richmond has to offer.
Designed for confident riders, this one-day camp explores the James River Park System with guided trail rides, technique coaching, and nonstop adventure.
