Beginner to Intermediate. Should be comfortable riding a bike on and off pavement before attending.
Boys & Girls Age 9-14
Join our staff of experienced riders for a week on the trails this summer. Campers will develop beginner and intermediate mountain biking skills including: steering, shifting, hill climbing and descending, log hopping, dodging obstacles, etiquette, maintenance, safety and more. Campers will ride in the morning, have a midday lunch/activity break, then get back on the bikes in the afternoon for more trail exploration!
Campers are placed in groups of beginner, intermediate, and advanced to ensure they are riding with campers of the same ability level.
Bikes and Helmets are provided, but campers are encouraged to bring their own mountain bike. We find it very beneficial for campers to ride a bike they are already comfortable on!
Campers should know how to ride a bike before signing up for this camp.
This camp will be Parent Drop Off/Pick Up on location at the trails we will be riding this summer, here is a list of the trails we plan to ride through out the summer.
FountainHead Regional Park, Laurel Hill Equestrian Center, Meadowood Park, as well as trails along the GCCCT. This list will be added to as we are modifying our trail riding locations for the summer!
